I have listened to a Computer Club member grousing about not being able to read PDF. Finally today, I made a house call. She had un-installed the Reader. I cleaned the system; no viruses, 2 tracking cookies. Installed Adobe Reader 7.0.8.

The screen resolution was set at 1024 X 768. I double clicked on a pdf. The screen went black momentarily and Adobe Reader opened with 800 X 600 resolution. Very difficult to read the pdf. Move the window to the left sufficiently, and close the reader. One must go to the Control Panel> Display and change the settings.

Any ideas?
