Please help - error message when installing Reader

Hi,

I have downloaded the installation files for Adobe Reader 8 but when I try to install them I get an error message saying:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Ac705RdP_efgj.msp' in the box below."

I used to have Reader 7 but the files on the C: drive got deleted. It still shows up on 'Add/Remove Programs' on Windows Explorer but I can't uninstall it as I get the same error message as above.

I would be most grateful if anybody has any ideas or advice on how to proceed, I'm at a loss.
