Adobe Reader 8, "Previous View"

In the earlier version (Acrobat Reader 7.08), I was able to retrace my steps over *multiple* pdf documents with a simple 'Alt-Left Arrow' key combination. This used to work *even if the documents were closed* in a particular session, as long as the parent Acrobat Reader window remained open.

This key combination has not changed for Reader v8.0, but this version does not let me go to the previous view after the document is closed :(

Are there any preferences to be set to enable this ?
