I checked the Forum. I just ran Disk Utility and repaired permissions. I should just try to re-install, I am guessing. I have a G5 dual 2.7ghz running the latest version of TIGER. This version of READER just craps out while launching. And, for no apparent reason when opening or printing a Illustrator authored PDF. No actual rhyme or reason why the APP should just lose it. Perhaps, it just didnt download correctly or it didnt install right. I will re-download it and re-install it. It really doesnt make much sense to me, either.
