I tried to install Reader 8.0 on an XP SP2 machine with all the updates and with Adobe Reader 7.08 on it. After installing Reader 8.0, I received the License Agreement window upon opening the program for the first time. Clicking on "Accept" caused nothing to happen. None of the other three buttons on the License Agreement screen, "Decline," "Print" and "Save," function either. Nothing happened when I clicked any of them. I used the top right corner "X" button to get out of the License Agreement window, upon which the entire program closes, because I did not accept the agreement. The one fix I tried was to remove all other versions of Reader from the machine, including the new Reader 8.0, re-starting and installing another Reader 8.0. This avenue failed as well. I love Reader, use it a great deal and have never experienced any problems with the Adobe downloading/updating process over the last three years.
