I am having the same problems. cannot un-install version 7...through add/ remove and version 8 thinks it is already present. I can now not open any pdfs unless I use photoshop and as I need them frequently this is a real pain. I don't really understand the previous solution and wonder if someone could give me a bit more information. Don't get me started on being told I can download a new improved version which 3 days later means I can neither use the new version or the old one! Thanks
