error after installation of 8.0

hi! i installed acrobat reader 8.0 without problems. after opening the program a window opens which says " internet explorer cannot display the webpage". when i close the window i get a message saying "the license agreement was not acceptet. the application will now quit." i have xp and use opera as my standard browser.
