Hi Tony thanks for info. I have never foud Adobe listed in the programs on Windows Installer Clean up. I followed your instructions to the Programn Files directory but when I tried to delete Adobe I get a message that it cannot be deleted as it is being used by other programmes on my computer, although I closed everthing and tried again it was stil the same.So I havehad to leave it! However I went to the Adobe site and downlkoaded the new Adobe 8 - seems OK so far so I will see how it goes. Many thanks Joan
