Installation Failure on Vista

I'm installing on a clean RTM version of Vista, on a machine without a "C:" drive (which I think is the problem). Install starts unpacking files, then throws this error: "The temp folder is on a drive that is full or is inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify that you have write permission on the temp folder."

It's not a space or perms issue - I'm running as local admin and I have over 350GB free on this drive.
