Missing Printer

I bought a reformatted HP computer running XP sp3 and have installed (all?) the drivers. Then I added a Canon printer (it works fine). Then I added Adobe Reader, but in Reader when I click File, then click Print, only the Canon printer is listed, not Adobe PDF. I installed CutePDF to see if it would be listed as a printer, but it is missing too. It's probably a simple problem. Any ideas will be appreciated.
