Unable to Uninstall Adobe Reader

I had an external hard drive crash, and lost the drive. Now I am getting errors with the Adobe Reader. Since the hard drive does not exist, the uninstall of Adobe Reader fails trying to access the external USB hard drive. I there anyway to force an uninstall of the Adobe Reader so I can do a reinstall. System is a Windows 2000 professional, Adobe Reader 7.08
