I currently have Adobe Reader 7.0.5. I've noticed that when I try to view online .pdf files, my browser (IE and Firefox) freezes and I need to end the program. I think this has been happening since I switched from NetZero Dial-up to At&t DSL, but I'm not sure this has anything to do with it. I tried to uninstall the program so I could reinstall the new version, but I get this message: "This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package." I then tried simply installing the update (7.0.8 ), and it downloaded, but I had to choose the file to put it in (I thought it would do this itself), and when I went found it in my program files, I clicked to open it, and it gave me the same error message as above. Please advise. Thank You.
