If you have Windows XP or Windows 2000 SP2 or higher, then you can download and install the latest version from <ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/7x/7.0.8/enu/AdbeRdr708_en_US.exe>.

Any earlier version of Windows will need to download version 6 from <ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/6.x/6.0/enu/AdbeRdr60_enu_full.exe>.

These are the English versions of Adobe Reader.

Reader version 6 will work with Windows 98SE, but not Windows 95 or 98. For this you will need Reader 5.0.5 or even 4.0.5
