Problem opening links with javascript 'onclick' in 7.08, this worked in 7.05

When attempting to open a link to view a pdf form.

Doesn't work:
a href="javascript: void.0" class="rnavLinkBulletA" onclick="MM_openBrWindow......

If we change the code on the webpage to the following it works
a href="https://........

It works.

Anyone know why? Was this a security enhancement that was released in 7.08?

Any suggestions?
