OK, so I have chutzpah. Is that good or bad? There are ways to run multiple copies of MS-Office under 1 OS. There are even ways to run multiple copies of IE under 1 OS. Having multiple copies of any app under 1 OS can be very desirable in a testing environment. I am using a multi-OS-boot setup already via VCom System Commander, but that is for the purposes of testing different OS Configs (ex. XP SP1, XP SP2, Vista RC2, etc.). I would plan to have multiple versions of Adobe under EACH OS instance. I'm starting with XP SP2. I don't use MAC. Having multiple versions of Adobe Reader under 1 OS on a special-purpose machine doesn't hurt anyone. Rather, it is a convenient way to check compatibility with multiple versions of Adobe Reader quickly. This only helps all parties in the long run. Again, I am looking to identify the critical registry keys that would need to be manipulated in order to shift between versions 5, 6, 7, and 8 of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
