Hi Hal and all - thanks for the suggestions. First problem when I try to delete the Adobe Folder from C:\program files\adobe I am warned that deleting this may cause some programs on my computer not to work!!!! Bit worried so I did not do it! I don't have any Adobe in Add or Remove Programs anyway. I will try and get into the system/32 files and see if I can remove whats left from there and then try the authentic downloads link.
Failing that I will try the suggestion by NJS! Fingers crossed
