The subject is how to move around in a long .PDF document. I am aware that there are several ways to do it; my question is, "How are you SUPPOSED to do it?" Length of the document: In the little window at the bottom of my screen, I see "1 of 494" without the quotes. So the length of the document is 494 .PDF pages; please correct me if I am wrong. However, the last page number which is embedded in the document is 462. Definition: Let p be an integer such that 1 .LE. p .LE 494 Let d be an integer such that 1 .LE. d .LE. 462 (where .LE. means "less than or equal to") Question: Suppose I want to go to the page such d = 200. (1) Should I be able to create an offset f such that p = 200 + f then key into the little window p of 494 where p is defined above? (2) Would it be better to do a search on "200" without the quotes? (3) Or is there a way to tell it directly to go to the page such that d = 200? If so, how? I must say, I find this terminally confusing, pun definitely intended. Adobe Reader 7.0.8 (probably the most recent version) Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 with patches up to date Mozilla Firefox AVG antivirus (free version) Windows XP built-in firewall Dell Dimension 2400 desktop with plenty of CPU capability and RAM.
