Adobe Reader on Vista Beta on an XPS Dell, cursor problem

I downld 7.0.8 (the latest) on my XPS Dell runing latest version of Windows Vista. The Reader doesn't respond to the cursor properly. Example: I move the mouse to any of the icons on the tool bar (like 'save a copy', 'find' or zoom)and click and nothing happens. This is also the case for page navigation at the bottom.
The scroll bars and the menu items at the top do work.
Any thoughts??
