I have the same problem. But I also have Acrobat Professional 7.0.0 on my computer. Normally, a PDF that I open using IE 6.0 will open in Acrobat. With Reader 7.0.8 installed, now PDFs will not open in either. I have to keep Reader open. Even with Acrobat open, the PDFs I access from IE will not open in Acrobat. They will only open if Reader is already open.
