I have downloaded Adobe Reader 7.0.8 several times, but I still cannot open and read PDF documents. When I try to open a PDF document, I get a window that says "File Conversion - Select the encoding that makes your document readable". The document then consists of garbled up words, letters, and symbols, and appears to still be some sort of Word document. What is wrong here? Do I need to reinstall my operating system. Thanks.
