What everyone is missing is that Lynsay does have a point about the DRM system. I don't have an issue with requiring activation of a device in order to read it. Nor do I have an issue of limiting the number of devices. The real issue here is that we are unable to deactivate a device when it is no longer in service. Nor are we able to reactivate a device that had to be rebuilt, (this could be a simple deactivate/activate process). I am a computer programmer as well as a student. I have many Adobe DRM'd books from my studies or that I have purchased. My laptop was replaced earlier this year and I am no longer able to read any of my e-books on my new laptop. If my desktop is replaced or dies all of my content will be worthless. This is an issue caused by Adobe as the implementer of the DRM, not the provider of the content. In a world where people use multiple computers and replace them as often as new processors are released it's inconceivable that this issue has not been addressed.
