Last year I was after a new book and went online to see where would be my best bargain. I found a website selling electronic versions of the book, as an Adobe PDF E-Book at a slight discount to the paper book. I paid the cash and eventually got a download link to my new E-Book. When I opened the PDF in Acrobat Reader I had to go through what Adobe call an Activation process. I never knew this when I bought the PDF but I went along with it, even though I had to create some silly MS Passport Over the months I have had a few reasons to re-install windows and each time I loaded up my E-Book to read I had to go through the particularly annoying re-activation. Most recently though, the activation has failed, advising me of too many activations and that I should contact support. No email or contact for this support though, poor show Adobe. By now Im already angry that I am being denied access to my property. But I go to Adobes website, find I am forced to register just to access help, and discover that they are too busy to accept my complaints, advising try again in a few minutes. It stays this way all night, and so I still dont get access to my property. I click all over the Abobe Website and try and find a good old-fashioned email address to someone at some kind of support There is nothing, nada. Oh there ARE some Buy support links, no surprise these all work, customer support is well and truly dead and buried. Sure theyll sell you support when they f***-up, even when its their fault. I give up after 6 hours trying to get in to the Abobe support pages, they are still too busyand ask me to try again..and again..and again.. I would throttle the idiot programmer who designed this system I guess I will probably just delete the PDF and forget about it. I will stick with paper books and NEVER buy an encrypted E-Book again. You have stolen from me and I hate you for it. Absolutely hate you.
