one of my 2 allowed pc's (to activate) is exactly the same as always, I just re-installed the OS a few times. My other was a notebook which had burned out gpu and was replaced. so the f*** up is with the flawed design behind this intrusive drm, as the first pc is still there, in the condition it always was, wondering why adobe thinks i am now a thief. note no-one has commented on adobe's 'support' webpages being still 'too-busy', hours-after-hour, to allow me even to connect -of course this is nonsense, the web code is broken someplace, another example of some very poor programmers working for adobe. oh sure, doing crypto suggests the flashboys and girls will be competent in math, but they are incompetent in the fundamental programming pillar of making programs and systems robust and transparent for the huge majority of end users. cannot come up with a better drm solution, as i hate drm as i do not think most people should ever be harassed or have their privacy invaded because a minority are dishonest... but if i ever study crypto to do so, i would be professional enough to make the system end user friendly for the average user and not this flawed, hair-pulling method. the web is choc-full of stories of people -all honest joe's like me, who have been driven nearly insane by adobe's drm. none will ever buy an encrypted ebook again. they are a scam of sorts; you think you save money on an ebook, then lose the money you saved (if you bought the paper book) in lost time and telephoning support! my solution? adobe get your arrogant finger out and get a quick-turnaround support system for re-activation cases like this. stop being so arrogant to assume we all have telephone access or for that matter can afford the calls. and most of all stop pretending there are masses of Dr Evils out there set on world domination by copying a 10 dollar ebook...jeezus crystt!!!
