First off Adobe Acrobat is an ok product when it works but it barley does that.

- The search feature I have to admit is one of the worst Ive seen and doesn't work most of the time. I've found text in the document (not in an image) which the search features didn't pickup. It's very slow and isn't worth anything if I can't guarantee it will find what Im looking for.

- Memory consumption is outrageous; you would think software coming from Adobe would be more efficient. This is a big gripe especially when I close Adobe Acrobat and it's not really closed, it continues to stay in a background process doing nothing other then hogging my precious memory. I realize this was done to improve load time (see bellow), however this is just a bandage to another problem.

- Load time is outrageous, I have a dual core CPU running at 2.6 Ghtz and it takes almost 5-10 seconds to load, there is definitely something wrong with that picture. Why does it load plug-ins and other unused things like fonts that arent even used in the pdf document Im opening. It should have an on demand model to save on memory and load time.

- Update mechanism is so annoying, all I want to see is my document and instead I get this big window asking me if I would like to optionally update the components listed. Why if it's optional do I get such a hideous question just to open a document. This should be a simple bar at the bottom of the reader that has a nice un-intrusive message with a link which can be clicked on to open this update window. I won't even start with the clunky nature of the update window UI, I could live with that as long as it doesn't prompt me optionally while Im trying to work.

I hope my criticism comes to some use in improving future versions. Hopefully others will provide there feedback to help as well.
