Problems in printing pdf with Acrobat Reader 7.0.5

pdf files which are created from a WORD file look to be correct when opened by the Reader 7.0.5 but when I print the document in some parts of it there appear strange characters, some lines cannot be read. This problem does not appear with AcrobatReader 5.1.0
These pdf files has been given to collegues and customers with different systems. That's why it is no solution just to print using Reader 5 because I dont know on which systems the files will be opened and printed.
Who can help?
