Using Adobe Reader v7 with latest updates, when trying to access a PDF through a link on a web page displayed by Internet Explorer:

(1) May open .pdf first attempt, or (2) may beep and fail with no error msg and then maybe open it with second attempt, or (3) beep and may not open it with any number of attempts

However, if right click and display properties of link, then following attempt ALWAYS works (if it's the first attempt or even if numerous attempts failed)

Accessing .pdf with Firefox doesn't fail on same PC at all.

Any thoughts?
