Adobe reader is generating incorrect mailto: hyperlinks from implicit e-mail addresses in the text. The problem comes when the mailbox name contains a "." before the "@": a.b@domain.com results in mailto:b@domain.com firstname.surname@domain.com gives mailto:surname@domain.com Explicit links such as mailto:a.b@domain.com are handled correctly. Laborious editing of the source document (to make all e-mail addresses explicit) is not an option.
