I am having trouble getting sound clips played under Linux. I have tested making lecture notes with embedded talk in PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat, and listening to them using Adobe Reader works fine under Windows. But many of our students use Linux, so I would like these to work under the Linux reader as well. But I am not getting any sound out of them when I try to listen to them under Linux Adobe Reader 7.0.8. I have tried this on several different Fedora Core 3 and 5 Linuxes, on which sound otherwise works fine, but the PDF sounds never worked. On the other hand, there is not any kind of error message either, neither on the reader nor in a terminal window. And I could not find anything useful about this in the documentation either.
