Printing question - 2 pages appear on single PDF page

I want to print a manual that shows 2 pages on a single page. In other words, the PDF page appears to be in landscape format, and there are two pages on the PDF page. For instance, page 1 shows on the left column and page 2 shows on the right column. How do I print this show that only one of the numbered pages is on a single sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper? Thank you.
