I am having the same problem, and it's also in Acrobat Reader 7.0, and have also seen the behavior where the character is offset by one letter. In our case the printer is an Epson Inkjet and re-installing the Reader and the print driver have had no affect. I have not been able to reproduce it using my own computer, and the problems are very sporadic, affecting two of our users about one out of every 20 pages they print. They can then print the same document a second time and it will turn out fine. I've a few mentions of this on various places on the internet, but no fix.
