Can't open any links with PDF files

My system recently updated to Adobe 7.08, and now every time I try to open an online PDF file I receive an error message asking if I wish to send this error message to Microsoft, and my browser window closes. If I have multiple windows open, they all close at once.

I have a PC running XP, and at this point I can't even find the related files on the help page to try to uninstall version six if that's what will really fix my problem.

I seriously need some help here. Anyone?
