I had previously used CCleaner and Windows Cleaner a few times. The message still appeared. I was able to install earlier versions of the reader. I started with version 5.0 and updated from the software in version to next version. One version at a time until I was at version 7. Then from version seven updated all the version until I reach 7.0.8. Version 7.0.8 installed without in problems. I was required to shut down and start up the computer after each version. Reader 7.0.8 is installed and working fine
