Somehow I did something to my Adobe Reader and I can no longer open PDF files. When I try to download and install Adobe Reader, 5, 6 or 7 I get the message that it already exists on my computer system and won't let me install it again. I have Adobe Acrobat 4 and Adobe Download Manager 2 (Remove only) on my computer. When trying to remove the Adobe Reader 7.0.7 I get this message. The patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package." What can I do to fix this problem? I don't know how to access these messages so if you know a solution please email me directly at michaeldavid@erols.com Thanks.
