Mac: installer won't download files, doesn't say why

I can download the installer, but when I run it, it contacts the server, then says that it's got the files. Nothing happens. I read the help file that said check the log to see where the file got downloaded to. I checked the logs, and the installer's own log says nothing about having downloaded anything.

I'm using HFS+ Case Sensitive as my OS's drive, would that cause a problem? If so, why isn't the log spitting out an error?
