I have just checked in an old iBook I keep for running older versions and old programs, and I see I have a 12 MB Adobe Reader 5.0 Installer. This might be the full installer, but on clicking on it, it mentions a 10 MB download. Frankly, I don't remember by now how this worked; perhaps someone with a younger memory will be able to enlighten us. I also have a 1.4 MB Acrobat Reader 505 Installer, which is most probably what one now gets from the adobe.com site, and almost surely requires connection to the internet for downloading the necessary files. Hope this helps.
