If you want to delete your preferences for Reader you need to go to the Registry. Be sure to backup your Registry before you delete the Reader key. You do this by going to start/run enter regedit, then OK and in the Registry Editor choose file/export to save a back-up file. Then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe and delete the Acrobat Reader folder. Then restart your computer and do a Detect and Repair from the Help menu within Reader. Good luck!
