I am encountering the same problem with Reader 7.0.8. I have PDF file references in Container fields of a FileMaker database.

The Windows desktop file association works correctly. DoubleClicking a PDF launches Reader. But since installing the update to 7.0.8, doubleClicking a PDF file reference in FileMaker does not launch Reader.

The functionality works fine in the same FileMaker database for any other kind of file; just not PDFs with Reader 7.0.8 installed. It worked fine with PDFs before installing the 7.0.8 update.
