I'm running Adobe Reader 7.0 w/ WinXP Pro on an HPzv5000 pavilion laptop, AMD 64 3400+ processor, 100GB hard drive, 768MB RAM. Among other things, I use AR to read .pdf images on a large set of DVD maps. AR will only partially open & read the higher-density maps, several of which are over 25MB - no problem with the smaller files (under 25MB). I can preview the larger files/images, but not fully open them. Have tried to uninstall & reinstall AR w/ no success & also have used Adobe's "Detect & Repair" function w/ no success. This is the ONLY problem I've had w/ AR on this computer.

Are there settings on my laptop or AR that need to be changed? Any other ideas or fixes?

thanks
