Errors in PDF Files when moving from one server to the other

Have tried several different ways of moving the files. On the original server (not in our control) the files work fine. When moved to our server the files produce errors descirbing problems with the tags. This seems to be impossible to trouble shoot. I have tried different methods of transport email; zip; thumb drive all kinds of ways but have not been able to eliminate these errors. In addition the errors don't read the same on every users workstation, however it's the same version of Adobe. help.
