I cannot run adobe acrobat reader 7.0.8 after being downloaded and saved to my hard drive. when I try to run the program an error message box appears with a red X in the left hand corner and says This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel. This statement may as well be in Chinese because I have no idea what It's asking me to do.

Iv'e gone under add and delete programs and deleted this program and then went to start, then my computer, then drive C, then went to programs, then I deleted anything related to adobe. Then I reinstalled Adobe Reader 7.0.8 . And Iv'e done this task 7 times and each and every time I get the same error message.

No offense but I feel trouble shooting this problem is not for a begginer. Please have a seasoned Technician respond to this email and problem who has the insight and ability to walk me through in solving this problem.
