I am looking for the cause and a solution or recommendation. We have branch offices that use an app that creates PDF docs for our customers. We also have dedicated printers to print these docs. These dedicated printers have the following print preferences set: landscape, duplex open to left/short, and color. If this dedicated printer is set to default the PDF will print without needing to alter the print preferences. The problem we are noticing is that if another printer is set as default and then the user selects the dedicated printer, the orientation print preference of the default printer remains, while the other print preferences of the newly selected printer transfer over. This happens regardless of the printer manufacturer or driver type. XP Pro SP2 on the desktop, queue resides on a 2003 print server. Thank you for any help you can provide.
