Reader opens file then immediately closes

I created thousands of Adobe Acrobat files using Crystal Reports last year. Each of the files open fine in Adobe Acrobat 6, but on machines that are running 7, they open for a split second, then close immediately.

I want to avoid recreating the files - it took a couple days to run through the scripting.

Any suggestions?
