Strange. My colleague has both Reader and Standard installed on her machine. Standard is a pig for memory so, because she reads .pdfs 99% of the time, I want her pdf's to open when she clicks them with READER and not Standard. I have the files on her machine now configured properly using Explorer, File Types so that if she double clicks a .pdf on her machine it opens up with Reader (she has to purposefully open it up in Standard if she wants to edit). BUT, on web pages where she opens many .pdfs, everytime she clicks on a link that is a pdf ex. www.website.com/file.pdf the .pdf is loaded in her browser as a STANDARD plugin I can see the STANDARD .exe process running in Task manager. I just want the Reader plugin to load as it is less memory intensive -- any ideas on how to do this? I thought if I configured the machine to load Reader when viewing .pdfs it would have the same behaviour in the browser but it does not.
