Mac Preview pdf to Adobe Reader pdf?

I use a Mac ibook, OS 10.3.9 (Panther). Mac's Preview received and sends pdfs and I cannot seem to change the default to allow Adobe Reader to be the default for pdf, both incoming and outgoing. Could not find anyting in Adobe reader prefs, and Mac system prefs, etc. offer no clue.

Anybody??
