I cannot open any pdf files in Internet Explorer. I am running Windows XP Pro on an AMD 64 processor. I have followed all of the steps to correct this issue, including: uninstalling, reinstalling, and running the detect & repair feature. However, this has not fixed the problem. According to suggestion number 2 in the article at: <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331025.html> I have all of the necessary activex files. This is definitely a problem between IE and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Pdf files open without any problems in Mozilla FireFox which I will use until a fix is provided for IE. I have no idea how to fix this problem because the recommended steps do not work.
