Installing Adobe Reader Alongside Other Products

Hello--

My company (www.finalemusic.com) has permission to install Adobe reader along with our COTS products to view our documentation in PDF format on both Macintosh and Windows. I would like to be able to avoid the "NETOPSYSTEMS FEAD Optimizer" on both platforms and simply have Acrobat be installed alongside our product with the minimum number of dialogs. The only technotes I've found talk about deploying the windows version within an enterprize, not to people outside our organization. It looks like I can create my own installer on mac (as the application is drag -n- drop), but I have two questions:

a. is this allowed
b. Do I simply follow the deployment instructions for windows to "tune" the installer for our users?

Thanks for any help
