Greg, This is best asked in the Acrobat forum. It is possible to create indices that allow Acrobat and/or Reader to search over multiple pdf files, but I do not know if this is possible over that many pdfs. I do believe that Mac OS X's spotlight feature may allow you to search through that many pdf files. but the search is a bit more limited than Acrobat and is dog slow.. Mike
