We have a own developed product for workflow/archive management of documents and are experiencing a inconsistent behavior in Acrobat Reader when opening pdf- files via the products web based interface. The documents are opened in the web browser (always MSIE 6.0 or higher) via a file (document.aspx) in which the browser reads and find information in that the specific document is a pdf- file. MSIE starts Acrobat Reader and opens the pdf file, so far so god. If we use the save -as function i Reader it suggests a filename called document.pdf - wich is correct, but when using the "send e-mail" function in the Acrobat reader, and chooses to send a copy of the pdf file, acrobat reader opens a new mail and sets the attached filename to document.aspx. This of course means that the e-mail reciever cannot directly open the attached file, but have to use save-as and rename the file to document.pdf. Can someone explain why Acrobat Reader works this way - is there anything we can do to change this? Or is this inconsistent behaviour a bug in the Reader product? Best regards /Lars
