Hi Alexander This is a very irritating feature, I totally agree. I have been playing around and trying to prevent it myself, but to no avail. What apparently appears to be happening is that when the hand tool has the down arrow showing, it is set so that when you click the document without dragging, the visible portion of text moves up. Therefore, if you were to read the entire screen contents, once you have finished you can click the screen and the next bit of text jumps into view, as if turning a page in a book. However, to do this the zoom setting must be set as Fit Visible. Therefore, the first time you click the screen it will zoom to Fit Visible if it wasnt already set at this. Subsequent clicks will change your page for you. If, like most people, you tend to read a very small section of the screen and scroll up with your mouse (or by grabbing the screen) almost continuously, this is a very annoying feature indeed. The simplest way to prevent it is to use the select tool and only scroll with your mouse wheel, or to click in the margins away from the text (the down arrow will disappear here). There are other posts in these forums that mention this problem, but they are a little confusing as they also mention other problems, and seem quite mixed. They talk of threads, per document settings and Reader Pro. Whatever it is they talk of appears only to be resolvable using the Pro edition. If any Adobe employees read this post, please DESTROY this feature! OK perhaps that is a bit strong, but at least let us disable it.
