All files are opened with Adobe

Whenever I open a PDF file and it opens up in Adobe, and then I close it. Everyfile after that my computer tries to open it in adobe. Like when I start up I get lots of error messages saying the file can't be opened by adobe for a reason. I have no idea why its doing that. I upgraded to Adobe 7.0.7 and before with 6 i could go to help>detect and repair and that would fix it. Now with 7 that wont fix it. Help if you can.
